規則接続詞は二つの節(主語 + 動詞)をつなぎ、前置詞は名詞句が続く。意味は同じでも文法が違う。
好奇心
「___ the rain, the event was delayed.」because か because of か。どちらも「理由」だが一つだけ正しい。
直感
後に何が来るかを見る。完全な節(主語 + 動詞) → 接続詞(because, although, while)。名詞句だけ → 前置詞(because of, despite, during)。

構成要素を見る:連結語が強調され、後続が「節」か「名詞句」かが示される。関係は「前置詞 + 名詞句(動詞なし)」。
