-er than / the -est
規則比較級(-er / more)は二つを比べ、最上級(the -est / the most)は三つ以上から一つを選ぶ。
好奇心
bigger か biggest か。more careful か most careful か。いつ -er でいつ more なのか。
直感
比較級は二者の間、「than」とともに。最上級は集団の頂点、「the」とともに。短い語は -er/-est、長い語は more/most。

本質
