Mnemonic

Satsu (冊) is "counter for books, notebooks" — B + no-cluster. Sound mutation: issatsu, hassatsu, jussatsu (gemination). Hon (本) also counts books and long thin things, but satsu is limited to books / magazines / notebooks. Korean gwon and Chinese ben / ce parallel; Japans satsu / hon split.
