Mnemonic

E-particle (へ) is "to / toward (direction)" — B + no-cluster directional particle. Pronunciation split: kana へ (he) but pronounced e when used as particle. Pairs with ni: e for direction / movement emphasis (motion rather than destination); ni for arrival / existence / time emphasis (specific point). In conversation, ni often replaces. Korean e / euro split and Chinese dao / xiang / wang split parallel; Japans e / ni nuance split.

Quick check

  1. E vs ni direction?
