Nothing dramatic today — just a trim to clean it up.
今日は大きく変えずに、整えるだけで清潔感を出してください。
「trim」=長さを保って毛先だけ整えること。ほぼ切らない時に使う。枝毛は「split ends」。
The sides are fine — just take a little off the top.
横は大丈夫です。上だけ少し切ってください。
It’s getting heavy up here, so take a little off the top, maybe an inch.
上が重くなってきたので、上だけ少し、2、3センチほど切ってください。
「the top」=上、「the sides」=横、「the back」=後ろ。「an inch」は約2.5cm。指で長さを示すと正確。
You can shape it up, but not too short — I have a meeting this week.
形は整えてもいいですが、短くしすぎないでください。今週、会議があるので。
Last time it came out shorter than I wanted, so not too short today.
前回は思ったより短くなったので、今日は短くしすぎないでください。
切る前に希望をはっきり伝える。もっと切ってほしければ「you can always take more off」と言える。
My hair is really thick — can you thin it out a bit so it’s lighter?

夏は膨らむので、後ろの毛量をすいてもらえますか?
「thin out」=毛量を減らすこと(長さは残す)。すきばさみは「thinning shears」。重い・膨らむ時に頼む。
The front still looks good, so just tidy up the back and the neckline.
前はまだ良いので、後ろと襟足だけ整えてください。
I can’t see it myself — could you just tidy up the back where it’s grown out?

「tidy up」=きれいに整える(切りすぎない)。襟足は「neckline」、もみあげは「sideburns」。

写真を見せるのが一番確実。「layers」=レイヤー、「bangs」(米)・「fringe」(英)=前髪、「fade」=下に向かって徐々に短く。
You can add some layers, but leave the length — I don’t want it shorter.
レイヤーは入れてもいいですが、長さはそのままにしてください。短くしたくないので。

「leave the length」=長さは触らない。長さは残して形だけ変えたい時は「keep the length but add layers」。
It’s mostly around the temples — can you cover the gray to match my color?
主にこめかみのあたりです。私の髪色に合わせて白髪を隠せますか?

「gray (hair)」=白髪、「roots」=伸びた根元。全体染めは「full color」、根元だけは「root touch-up」。

上はそのままで、横はもう少し短めにしてください。

耳の上で広がるので、横と耳まわりをもう少し短めに。
横が徐々に短くなる形は「a fade」「tapered sides」。耳を出すなら「above the ears」、もみあげは「sideburns」。
