「ready」=仕上がり。急ぎは「same-day / rush」を尋ねる。特急は追加料金の場合も。

面接用のズボンですが、床に引きずります。このズボン、裾上げできますか?
「hem」=裾上げ。長さは履いて「pin」で印を。袖は「shorten the sleeves」。
The waist is loose — can you take it in a little?
ウエストがゆるいです。少し詰めてもらえますか?

少し痩せて、このジャケットがぶかぶかです。詰めてもらえますか?
「take in」=詰める(細く)。逆は「let out」。直し全般は「alterations」。
It’s a bit tight now — can you let it out at the waist?
今は少しきついです。ウエストを出してもらえますか?
The shoulders feel snug on this shirt — can you let it out a bit?
このシャツは肩がきつめです。少し出してもらえますか?
「let out」=出す(広く)。内側の縫い代(seam allowance)次第で限界がある。

ファスナーが引っかかって動きません。交換できますか?

ジャケットのファスナーの引き手が取れました。交換できますか?
「zipper」=ファスナー、「replace」=交換。ボタンは「sew a button on」、ほつれは「mend a seam」。

「press」=プレス(アイロン)。「iron」も同義。しわは「wrinkles」、折り目は「crease」。
