Texto

Notice: Office Relocation We are pleased to announce that our headquarters will move to a new building on Maple Street on March 15. The new office, which is located near the central train station, is larger and brighter than our current one. The building offers a spacious lobby, a modern cafeteria, and several meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology. Because the site is close to public transportation, your daily commute should become much easier. To make the move smooth, all staff are asked to pack their personal belongings before the deadline of March 12. Each department will receive labeled boxes from the facility team by March 8. Please write your name and floor number on every box so that nothing is lost during the move. The elevators may be crowded on moving day, so employees are encouraged to arrive early. If you have any questions about the relocation, please contact the facility team at extension 240. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home.

Estructura de la oración

Las oraciones clave divididas en unidades de sentido, con el papel de cada parte.

The new office, which is located near the central train station, is larger and brighter than our current one.
SujetoThe new officesujeto (la oficina)
Cláusula, which is located near the central train station, oración de relativo entre comas
Predicadoisverbo principal
Complementolarger and brightercomplemento comparativo
Modificadorthan our current onetérmino de comparación

Entre el sujeto "The new office" y el verbo principal "is" se inserta una oración de relativo entre comas, "which is located ...", que añade información sobre el sujeto. Si saltas esa cláusula insertada como un paréntesis, el esqueleto "The office is larger and brighter than ..." queda claro. La clave para leer frases largas en inglés es conectar primero sujeto y verbo.

Please write your name and floor number on every box so that nothing is lost during the move.
PredicadoPlease writeverbo imperativo (you omitido)
Objetoyour name and floor numberobjeto (dos nombres con and)
Modificadoron every boxfrase de lugar
Conectorso thatnexo de finalidad
Cláusulanothing is lost during the movecláusula de finalidad (pasiva)
