Friction

Friction

Friction opposes motion and acts opposite to the direction of movement. Rougher surfaces and greater pressing force increase it, while contact area has little effect. It helps us walk and brake, and we reduce it with lubricants or wheels. Adjust the applied force and surface type to see when the object starts to slide.
