Mnemonic

sseuda covers both "to write" and "to use". It is an eu-irregular verb: the bare stem vowel eu drops before an -eo ending, so sseu- plus -eoyo becomes sseoyo, never sseu-eoyo. A separate homophone sseuda also means "to taste bitter".

Quick check

  1. Why does sseuda become sseoyo in the present?
