性格 seikaku — 性 (inborn nature) + 格 (frame, standard). The frame of a person's inborn nature — character, personality. 性格が合う (personalities match) and 明るい性格 (a cheerful character) are common. 格 is the same kanji as in 合格 (passing an exam, also in K-76).
