屏 píng "to screen, shield" + 蔽 bì "to cover, conceal": both mean to screen off, i.e. to block, to shield. Korean renders it as "to block, shield". Blocking a signal, ad, email or account so it is not seen (屏蔽信号 to block a signal, 屏蔽广告 to block ads). A synonym compound common in IT and telecom. 屏 means "screen, to shield", read píng (屏风 a folding screen); 蔽 means "to cover" (隐蔽 to conceal).
