觉 jué + 悟 wù, both "to realize, awaken": to become aware, an awakening; also a noun, "(level of) consciousness". 思想觉悟 = ideological awareness. (Though written like Korean gak-o "resolve", Chinese 觉悟 leans toward "realization/consciousness".) Polyphone: 觉 is jué "to realize" (觉悟) but jiào "sleep" (睡觉); here jué.
