届 jiè "to reach (a time)" + 时 shí "time": when that time arrives, i.e. when the time comes, at that time. Korean renders it as "at that time, then". A formal adverb pointing to a previously mentioned future moment (会议届时举行 the meeting will be held then). It refers to an appointed future time and appears mainly in notices. 届 means "to reach, a session" (届期 the date arrives, 第十届 the 10th session); 时 means "time" (时间).
