管 guǎn "tube, pipe" + 道 dào "way, channel": a channel made of pipe, i.e. a pipeline. Korean renders this as bae-gwan (配管) or gwan-ro (管路). 管 also means "to manage" (管理), so it is a multi-sense character. A conduit through which liquids or gases flow.
