构 gòu "to construct, frame" + 想 xiǎng "to think": a thought framed in the mind, i.e. a conception, an idea, a vision. Same as the Korean word gu-sang (構想). Working out the broad framework of a matter or work in advance (大胆构想 a bold conception, 总体构想 the overall conception). Nearly the same as 设想, but 构想 carries a stronger sense of a systematically framed blueprint. 构 means "to construct, frame" (构成, 结构); 想 means "to think" (想象, 思想).
