电 diàn "electricity" + 路 lù "path": the path electricity flows along, i.e. an electric circuit. Korean usually renders "circuit" as hoe-ro (回路), so the second character differs (Chinese 电路 vs Korean 回路). A closed loop the current travels. 集成电路 means "integrated circuit (IC)".
