脆 cuì "brittle, crisp" + 弱 ruò "weak": brittle and weak, i.e. fragile. Same as the Korean word chwi-yak (脆弱). Easily broken physically (脆) or, of the mind or a relationship, apt to collapse (心理脆弱 psychologically fragile). It touches on 娇气 (pampered softness), but 脆弱 focuses on breaking easily. 脆 means "crisp" (脆饼 a crisp biscuit).
