Mnemonic

出 chū "to go out" + 入 rù "to enter": to go out and come in, i.e. coming and going. It pairs the antonyms 出 and 入. Same as the Korean word chul-ip (出入). Two senses: passing in and out (禁止出入 no entry) and a "discrepancy" where amounts do not match (账目有出入 a discrepancy in the accounts). The second sense is absent in Korean chul-ip, so take care.
