Motion of Objects

Speed is how far something travels in a set time, so we find it by dividing distance by time. Going farther in the same time, or the same distance in less time, means a faster speed. Walking is about 4 kilometers an hour, a bicycle about 15, a car about 80, so everyday objects do not share one speed. Move the speed slider and the car runs; on the distance-time graph the line grows steeper as speed rises.
