Acid, Base and Indicators
The liquids around us can be acidic, basic, or neutral. Sour things like vinegar and lemon are acidic, while slippery soap and toothpaste are basic. We show their strength with pH: below 7 is acidic, 7 is neutral, and above 7 is basic. Slide the pH from 0 to 14 and the colors of litmus paper, phenolphthalein, and BTB solution change.
