grade 1 Earth, Our Home

Seen from space, the Earth looks like a blue marble. The blue parts are mostly ocean and the green parts are land: about 70% of the Earth's surface is ocean and about 30% is land. A thin layer of air called the atmosphere wraps around the Earth, and because water, the right temperature and air to breathe are all here together, people, animals and plants can live on it.
